Wipe your data
Clear the data tied to your Pierre account while keeping the account itself active.
What this does
This request removes the content you have created in Pierre without closing your account. You keep your login, and you can start scanning again from a clean slate. To remove your account entirely instead, see account and data deletion.
How to request a data wipe
Send an email to [email protected] from the address associated with your Pierre account.
Include in your email:
- The email or phone number tied to your Pierre account.
- Which data you want wiped: everything below, or only specific items (for example, photos and scans, while keeping your My Pond page).
You can also start the request from inside the app: Settings → Account → Wipe my data.
What gets wiped
On confirmation, the following are permanently removed while your account stays open:
- The Archive: every item you have scanned, including identification, valuation, and notes.
- Photos uploaded during scans.
- My Pond: your public seller page and the links associated with it.
- Saved preferences and in-app settings.
What stays
- Your Pierre account and login credentials.
- Your email address and basic profile, so you can keep using the app.
What is retained, and why
A small set of data is kept for a defined period, only where there is a legitimate reason:
- Operational logs (access, errors, anti-fraud signals): retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted. Purpose: security and abuse prevention.
- Transactional and tax records (invoices, payment receipts, billing identifiers): retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law. Purpose: regulatory compliance.
- Records of the wipe request itself: retained as proof of compliance with data protection law.
No retained data is used for advertising, profiling, or any commercial purpose after a wipe.
How long it takes
The wipe is completed within 30 days of receiving your request. You will receive a confirmation email once it is done. If we need to verify your identity before proceeding, we will reach out from the same support address.
